Dark spots, wrinkles, and acne are all skin care issues many people may struggle with, but thanks to one particular ingredient — Mandelic Acid — your stubborn skin problems can, in fact, be solved.

Mandelic Acid is a beneficial ingredient that is classified as an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which is derived from bitter almonds.  Because the ingredient is primarily studied for the use of acne, this product is instrumental in curing breakouts and uneven skin textures. The acid is mainly an exfoliant and is great for those with sensitive skin. What is even better about Mandelic Acid is that it is natural and synthetic, so it provides increased hydration and exfoliation.

Because of its wide range of skincare benefits for all skin types, we use Mandelic Acid for not one, but two of our Acne EP System — the Purifying Cleansing Wash and Exfoliating Mandelic Serum.

The Purifying Cleansing Wash perfectly demonstrates the Mandelic Acid’s range, as the product is a three in one! The wash reduces bacteria in acne skin, softens wrinkles, and helps to brighten skin with irregular pigmentation.

Mandelic Acid is used to help reduce bacteria with exfoliation. When using the Cleansing Wash, dead skin cells are removed in the process to help make way for new skin cell generation. Exfoliating properties help loosen and remove dirt, dead skin cells, and oil. The Mandelic Acid is also known for its anti-aging effects, causing vast improvements to skin texture, as wrinkles and surface lines are reduced. Lastly, the Mandelic Acid helps to brighten skin because once the dead skin cells are broken down from the wash, new skin beneath becomes more radiant, leaving you with rejuvenated and strengthened skin.

Our second product, the Exfoliating Mandelic Serum, also serves to combat similar skin issues by lightning discolorations, accelerating cell turnover, and preventing breakouts. We love this product because it is both anti-inflammatory and hydrating!

Unfortunately, as we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to discoloration. But, with long term use of an Exfoliating Serum like our Acne EP System, Mandelic Acid can help to reduce skin discoloration by helping old skin cells to turn over. Due to this, dark marks and sun damage can be resolved with the use of the Mandelic Acid Serum. With the promotion of cell turnover, the new skin cells will be more even-tone. This cell turnover can even help to reduce acne scars! Overall, the serum can help treat and prevent acne by regulating sebum production. This Mandelic Acid penetrates deeper in the pores than other acids do. When your pores are clogged from bacteria, Mandelic Acid loosens and removes the clog while also preventing future bacteria from forming.

Like any product, we suggest Mandelic Acid to be used in moderation in order to receive optimal benefits and results while steering away from over-exfoliation and irritation on the skin.

With such transformative properties of Mandelic Acid, our Acne ER products like the Purifying Cleansing Wash and Exfoliating Mandic Serum can be used to control teen and adult acne, smooth skin, and leave you with overall fresh glow and satisfaction! We encourage you to pick up either serum or cleansing wash in stores or online!
